Another Day In Hong Kong

Thursday we took the ferry from the small island we have been staying on and went to Hong Kong Island. Hong Kong is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern, East and West. Being under British control for so long has had a big impact on Hong Kong. Now, as part of China, it still maintains it status and role as a major international hub with a  great infrastructure and modern feel.

We spent the afternoon shopping and hanging out in a children's play area and arcade. Micah made some new friends and had a blast!

Elliot enjoyed the games and the challenges of bowling and air hockey. He won enough tickets to get a "Matchbox" double decker bus like we ride here.

We found a Toys R Us with some great prices on hard to find items in Penang. We might be visiting that store again before we leave:)

For dinner we ate at a strange restaurant that featured Thai and Malaysian food... and a large giraffe! Elliot wanted to know if giraffes like sprite.

They do.

The ferry ride home was great! The sun was going down and the lights of the city were coming on. What a beautiful place!
